Back to your custom sign, so there are many different options with materials but as a sign there are two main ways. Either you are doing a custom logo or lettering and there are variations of each. For a custom metal logo you would pick the type of metal such as aluminum, brass, bronze, copper or steel and we can layer metals on type of each other and use paint. You would get a fully made sign you would need to install. These logos could be used for indoor or outdoors as they are made to withstand the elements. As a metal sign maker these types of logos do cost a lot more than just a vinyl graphic on the wall but when complete there is nothing that matches the modern look. If you wanted a combinations we can put metal lettering or logo’s on acrylic panels. The panels could be clear, frosted or color and then we mount the metal sign on top. This is a great cost effective way to have a great looking sign. If you wanted to add LED backlighting we recommend going with stainless steel lettering.
Materials for logos and custom metal signs:
Aluminum – This is by far the most common materiel we make our logo’s and lettering from. You can go with an unfinished look or painted. If you wanted a painted metal this is the recommended one along with most cost effective metal we have.
Brass – Give you that look you would expect from a high quality brass. Most users us a polished or brushed look with this material.
Bronze – If you were looking for a certain finish such as an oxidized this is the type of material you would want to go with.
Copper – Not commonly used but the look of a copper sign is classic. You can buy in polished or a nice brushed finish.
Stainless Steel – Many options with steel but what makes this stick out the most is you can use around salt water either on buildings our boats.
